OBITUARY

After six weeks of searching, Veronica Te Ruiz will be set out to sea to continue to travel the world as she so loved. Born on February 22,1982 at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco and passed away on December 3, 2007 on Mount Tamalpais. Known by her family as Nikki, she was the loving and considerate daughter to Erlinda and Roger Ruiz. She was the younger sister and travel companion to MariCris and older sister to Ace and to her many friends “Vee”

Veronica was intelligent, ambitious, adventurous, good-natured, and down to earth. She was a thrill seeker who loved to travel and experience what the world had to offer. Veronica enjoyed outdoor sports such as soccer, running, and skydiving. An independent and outgoing person, Veronica easily made friends and felt at ease in any group. She was a wonderful spirit who appreciated the people around her and was deeply loved in return.

Veronica graduated from El Camino High School with High Honors and was distinguished in the field of mathematics. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and was a member of Beta Alpha Psi Business Fraternity. Upon graduating, she joined the world-renowned accounting firm KPMG and earned her CPA certification. A few years after, she joined the IRS Federal Treasury Department as a Special Agent.

She is survived by mother, Erlinda Ruiz; father, Roger Ruiz; sister, Maricris Ruiz; brother, Ace Ruiz; boyfriend, Robert Voigt; and friends.

Though she is greatly missed, we are at peace knowing she is in a better place. We will never forget you.

God Takes the Best
“God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you
and whispered “come with me”
Although we loved you dearly
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
you’re now at peaceful rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He Only Takes the Best.”
