A Message on Behalf of Friends and Family of Veronica Ruiz
The Marin County Coroner’s Office confirmed through dental records that the body found on Mt. Tamalpais on Sunday Jan. 13 at approximately 2pm is that of Veronica Ruiz.
The family would like to take the time to thank those organizations and individuals who were able to participate in the search effort for Veronica.
Those organizations include local agencies from the Marin County Search and Rescue, Mill Valley Police Department, Marin Sheriff’s Department and the Marin Municipal Water District as well federal support from the IRS, FBI, DEA, ICE, ATF, DOJ, Department of Homeland Security, Diplomatic Security, National Guard, HUD, NPS, SPD, OSS, DOC etc. We also received additional volunteer support from SAR agencies outside of the greater bay area, including Sierra, Napa, Nevada and Sonoma County, CA and Washoe County, NV.
The family would also like to thank those individuals, both friends of the family and un-associated volunteers, who took time to participate in the search through out this long and time consuming effort.
A special thanks to the Holiday Inn Express Mill Valley, as well as the staff and personnel, for initial and continued support in supplying the search effort with a base camp for volunteer efforts.
We would like to express our gratitude for the generous time, support, kindness and donations we have received from everyone. It is truly appreciated.
This has been an emotional rollercoaster for all of us and at the end of the day, we are all relieved to have brought her home and have closure. Heartfelt thanks to all...
